Having received Expression of Interests by the governments and subsequent official endorsement by the CARD Steering Committee organizations, the CARD Initiative is currently operating in total 23 Sub-Saharan African Countries as indicated in the below map.  

The 12 countries - Cameroon, Ghana, Guinea, Kenya, Madagascar, Mali, Mozambique, Nigeria, Senegal, Sierra Leone, Tanzania, and Uganda- have joined CARD in 2008 immediately after the Initiative launched, while the participation of the rest of 11 countries - Benin, Burkina Faso, Cote d'Ivoire, Central African Republic, Democratic Republic of Congo, Ethiopia, The Gambia, Liberia, and Rwanda- were officially initiated in the occasion of 3rd CARD General Meeting in May, 2010.
