Goal: |
Improve water use in marshlands by empowering the water users (rice growers), technicians and local administrators with knowledge on water management/conservation and government regulations |
Obj.: |
- Sensitize rice growers on irrigation water user associations in all rice growing areas, |
- Train rice growers, technicians and administrators on soil and water management, |
- Advise government and local administration on soil/water policy interventions |

11. Project component (activities) |
1. |
Sensitization of rice farmers: Identify the commonality of water resources in marshlands, and accordingly sensitize the rice growers to join water user associations

Training: Improve the skills of rice farmers, technicians, local administrators in rice growing areas on water requirements of rice crop, water management and conservation techniques, maintenance of irrigation infrastructures, financial management of IWUA, and existing laws |

Policy: Monitor, evaluate and seek feedbacks on water use regulations from rice growers (users), technicians and administrators, and accordingly advise the government and local administration on appropriate policy interventions |
