9. Goal and objectives Goal: Improve rice productivity by enhancing the capacity and efficiency of dissemination of appropriate technologies through public-private partnerships
Obj.: - Address capacity constraints by leveraging private sector involvement,
- Put in place an appropriate delivery system of supporting farmers with appropriate technologies,
- Encourage private participation in extension services through increased awareness of the potential of benefits

11. Project component (activities) 1. Access to Training materials (public and private): Technical knowledge, Preparation of extension materials (manuals, posters, hand-outs, etc.), modes of dissemination and professionalism
2. Technical Follow-up: Assess the adoption of the disseminated technologies
3. Policy/Institutional Support: Establish clear roles of public and private entities in national extension system
4. Policy/Institutional Support: Incentivize the services and service providers for efficiency and professionalism in extension delivery
5. Information/Knowledge: Awareness on scale of economy and viability of private participation created through evidence from other cash crops and rice
