Nouakchott, Mauritania - A sub-regional project for the improvement of rice production in the Sahel was launched Thursday in Nouakchott, the capital of Mauritania, with assistance from Spain. The project, whose implementation will last 28 months, concerns Cote d’Ivoire, Mali, Mauritania, Niger and Senegal and will cost US$ 5.8 million.
