Project Goal

To improve water security and build climate resilience

Project Objectives

Increase availability and productivity of irrigation water for project beneficiaries

Enhance the institutional framework and strengthen capacity

Project Outputs

Decrease damages to rice crop from flood

Introduce new technologies (SRI, water storage/harvesting)

Project activities

Financing water investments and building a longer-term investment pipeline

Support the current sector institutions, the preparation, implementation and full functioning of the new; legal and institutional framework

Support integrated and participatory basin planning, including developing the requisite knowledge base and building capacity and institutional partnerships

Support the establishment of the Project Management Unit (PMU)
