SC 16 meeting, September 2020
The 16th CARD Steering Committee Meeting was held virtually due to the worldwide pandemic of COVID-19 on 30th September 2020. The meeting was chaired by Dr. Ibrahim Gourouza of AUDA-NEPAD, and the meeting was attended by the representatives from EAC, ECCAS, ECOWAS, SADC, AfDB, AfricaRice, AUDA-NEPAD (African Union Development Agency – New Partnership for African Development), AGRA, FAO, FARA, IFAD, IRRI, IsDB, JICA, JIRCAS, World Bank and WFP.
The objectives of the meeting;
- To share the progress of CARD Phase II so far.
- To discuss CARD M&E framework.
- To share the information on rice-related activities by the SC members.
- To discuss the organization of 8th General Meeting in 2021 and CARD Webinar in 2020.
- To discuss AATF’s interest in SC membership
