Project Goal

To enhance capacity of research and development of appropriate rice production technologies for productivity improvement by zone and strengthen the institutional framework of training and extension

Project Objectives

Capacities for rice production technology, Training planning, pre-basic & basic seeds production are improved

Project Outputs

Capacities for rice production technology development of NaCRRI and priority ZARDI are improved, and those developed technologies are adopted in training contents.

Training-planning capacities of Training Unit at NaCRRI and MAAIF Directorate of Agricultural Extension Services are strengthened and training implementation capacities of target research institutes are improved.

The capacity of NaCRRI and target research institutes, for the production of pre-basic and basic seeds, are improved.

Rice production technologies for productivity improvement are disseminated to target farmers of Musomesa Field School (MFS) under the jurisdiction of priority ZARDIs.
